Hi all, I'm back. There were some good moments had on my 2 cruises and some hard ones, as I expected and as is life.
I was put on a table with 4 other solo travellers and they were lovely. I haven't laughed so much in months!
There was a huge coincidence within my table mates, one of them recognised me from the Ceroc dance classes and remembered Simon. He used to be one of the dance teachers until health issues (cancer again) prevented him from continuing. So he and I had a lot of common ground.
The 3 others on my table were a Yorkshire "lad" and two Americans. A man from Illinois and a woman from Colorado. We would sometimes 'hang out' outside of dinner times as well. We got on very well and we have a Whatsapp group, so we hopefully will keep in touch.
The Atlantic was very calm and we were very lucky with the weather, only short showers, mostly sunny and warm. The Bahamas were beautiful and very hot.
It was nice getting away, but of course I missed Simon like mad. 'Running away' doesn't change anything and I was partly dreading coming home. Though I suppose that having a lot of time alone helped me to become slightly more comfortable in my own company. But having a choice of activities did me good, as did having new people to get to know. It has made me think that I do need to get out of the house more.
Now to get back to it.
I hope that you're all well and have had a good 3 weeks.

Welcome back, really pleased you had a good time. That time went quick, only seems the other day that you were being wished bon voyage. Now that you've taken a great step you can go out more now. Have you booked the next cruise or weren't they offering the usual special deals on board?

Welcome back Em. i remember a cruise I went on with my mother which sailed from Yugoslavia back in the 70's, where we got pally with a couple at our table. It only transpired on our final day as we disembarked, that they lived in next street from us!

Welcome back Em, we missed you but have been in Marie's capable hands and Enver has been keeping us updated.
I'm glad you enjoyed it & made new friends, isn't it odd how we always seem to bump into people from our own neck of the woods while abroad, I do anyway. Glad you didn't disappear into the Bermuda triangle 😅

Welcome back Em. Glad the weather was kind to you.
Meeting up with someone you know reminded me of the Liza Minnelli song about someone going thousands of miles from home on holiday only to meet and fall in love with someone who lived in the same apartment block back home.

We sailed over the Bermuda triangle. Nothing happened. Apart from the Captain mentioning it in his daily midday update. It was something different to the usual coordinates, miles sailed so far, miles left to go and weather report.
I haven't heard about a cargo plane crashing. Wasn't it a cargo plane that went off the end of a runway somewhere not so long ago.

Welcome back Em, Glad you enjoyed it & made new friends, Marie has been fantastic looking after us. I've been tracking the Disney Dream & also heard of the cargo plane crash off the end of the runway at Miami - (I'll put it in an email). We were hoping the storm round the Azores missed you (see threads somewhere below), just been watching a scary film on YouTube about the Bermuda triangle.

Eltel Really???? Absolutely no need for such an aggressive and insulting post. Read the FAQ's before you go off on a rude rant, all is explained clearly how the site works.
Em
We have replied to your emails explaining that due to Data Protection Law, we would have to ask you security questions before we could make any changes and we sent you the instructions for how to change your details.
It's quicker for a member to do it themselves than to have to wait for us to send the questions, wait for you to have time to answer them and then for us to review your answers and make the change.
Just go to 'My Account' - 'My Details', input your password, edit the postcode and hit the update button.
I have just sent you the instructions and our security questions in a new email.
WOW Eltel could you be any more rude or aggressive?
Especially when you’re completely in the wrong!
How on earth did you contact the admin team? They always respond! Which email did you use?
If you had read any answers they would have told you look at the FAQs as the only way to change a postcode is to do it yourself.
As others say, you wouldn’t have missed any win as you’d see a claim button against whichever postcode you had currently registered.
I think it’s always doubly annoying when people go incandescent with rage when they’re actually at fault.

Not a very nice post @Eltel and you wouldn't have missed any payout during the 6 months since you've moved because it's your registration number that's picked not your postcode

Really Eltel? You mean you failed to read the FAQ which explains it's YOUR responsibility to change your postcode when you move? Not PMP's!!!
https://help.pickmypostcode.com/article/31-how-do-i-change-my-email-address-or-postcode
There really is no reason for such insulting and rudeness to our excellent admin team.
Not sure why you hijacked my thread with this nonsense either!

Really???? How many times (5 so far, or maybe it’s 6 ) do I have to tell you I HAVE MOVED , I moved in March .i informed you then and have replied to your “reminders” 5 or 6 times since with my new (not any more) postcode . It seems quite clear that you couldn’t organise a p up in s brewery , is it really so difficult for you to understand that you should update your records when someone tells you they have moved to a new postcode . I can only hope that I haven’t missed a payout at my new postcode of over 6 months now , if I have I will take action and maybe you will too so you are not so incompetent in the future

I don't mind ads, but on mobile, there's one popping up over the buttons at the bottom. It's active before anything shows up, so when I try to tap a button, I automatically get taken to an advertiser's site that I did not want to visit.
Could you do something about ads obscuring essential UI elements?

That ad can be ignored. Just scroll down to the bottom of each draw box and use the red button which will navigate you to the next draw. For example on this page the button says "Check the Survey Draw" and each page has one, so there is another way to get around the site.
Google ads created the bottom banner ad for handheld devices after the increase in popularity of those devices impacted their revenue, and we need the ad revenue too I'm afraid or we wouldn't be able to be a free prize draw giveaway.

When that happens I turn my screen to landscape and the buttons appear at the top where they are clear of the advert. That's on my mobile. Maybe that would help you.

There are at least 3 other ways of moving around the site.
1) Click the red button beneath the winning postcode to move to the next draw.
2) Click the 3 short horizontal lines in the top right of the page which will offer you a menu to select other pages to move to.
3) Use the dark blue menu lower down the page to move to another page.
