Plus it’s all about preventing us building up a resistance to the most potent ones, which does make sense as they haven’t been producing many new ones for a while now. No incentive for Big Pharma to spend money on research & development if no one can afford to use them.🤔

All the people working on the ward and there were dozens of them- mostly attached to computers, literally work stations on wheels, some were constantly on the move- seemed to be working on different things.

There were lots of other patients sitting around with cannulas in too. It all just seemed to be very slow.

You are not boring me FP, makes me realise my own problems are relatively minor, though I probably need to get back to the GP as the antibiotics made no difference. The "cream" stops me irritating the skin.

Early this morning the heavens finally opened and loads of rain fell until mid afternoon. The 2 main water butts at the sides of the greenhouse aren't full though are about 80% full. Will need to do some water transfers to my auxiliary water storage. I will need to water the cacti another 2 or 3 times before the end of October, then that will be it until late February for those in the greenhouse.

I feel for you FP, you must be so frustrated! No-one from the myriad of teams involved seemed to consider the big picture, or see things from your point of view. If I was an NHS manager, I'd use your experience as a case study for how not to do things! I hope the antibiotics work.

Bruce8, Local MP isn’t up to much to be honest, have previously contacted about local issues, after being asked to contribute info. No reply or feedback.

What an awful experience Flower it really is a disgrace. I thought my local surgery was a shambles but yours really does sound like total chaos . As you suggested, try any other day except Mondays (post weekend surge) and don't let the receptionist bully you, insist you need to see someone NOW. Hope you get your leg/foot looked at soon as it could be serious.

You could try Fubsy's advice, though it depends how good your local MP is.

ThankYou Poppy, Barrie, Fubsy & Jaffa I honestly don’t think it would get me anywhere, everyone I’ve spoken to has been really nice but it’s just the system- The 111 Clinician hasn’t rung yet either 2.32 a.m. now! Someone told me their friends had got the call in the middle of the night, when they were in bed fast asleep & just found the missed call when they got up.

I’m thinking of ringing the Lymphoedema Clinic tomorrow, unfortunately they signed me off just a few weeks ago because I hadn’t had any problems for the last couple of years, I’m not sure you can just refer yourself though & same with the District Nurse as they used to visit regularly but also a similar timespan so probably not on their books anymore either.

Failing that I’ll try the GP again tomorrow,🤞they won’t be as busy.

Hopefully someone will agree to see me, I’m pretty sure it needs a pressure dressing but you have to be referred to the clinic, 111 & GP reception both said they couldn’t do it!

There do seem to be areas where things work better than others.Maybe the powers that be should find out why!

I do hope you get your leg sorted soon otherwise it could ulcerate Flower .

I thought we had problems with our GP's round here but you have it worse FlowerPower.

Can you get the local paper interested or local radio for that matter?. Do any of your councillors look likely to help?

FlowerPower, sorry to hear about the problems you have had today. The GP system is now absolutely awful, no wonder A&E departments are so busy and can't cope with the number of patients attending. I hope you get seen tomorrow and that your leg starts to improve soon. Take care.

Pot luck at the hospital. She usually sees at least 4 people on an appointment, early ones are the same.

Poor Mum, that seems to be typical of hospital treatment these days. Does she see the same person all the time or is it all different ones with different ideas?

Your garden sounds to have been very productive but I guess it’s the amount of time you put into it that produces the results. Lovely to have fresh, homegrown produce.

Well this is a bit of a blow, I've been managing a good solid 8p a day for several days and today I'm at 3p.

The antibiotics haven't resolved my ankle problem. The "cream" takes away some of the irritation.

Courgette plants look to be at the end of their days, though the 6 plants have produced many and I've still 3 in the fridge.

Spend some hours trying to get rid of the ivy and removing the dead wood which was once my raspberry area, also started to remove my blackberry, though given how it has taken over the back end, will take some time to shift.

Very little rain here, took in more kohlrabi, carrots, tomatoes and cucumbers. Waiting for another good head of cauliflower romanesco natalion.

Mum had to have another eye injection, after being told several months ago that there would be no more. I do not know how she copes with it. She's now been told she may lose all of her sight. Before she was told she would not. So it is something we are adjusting to.

Enver, I can’t see it making any difference & how would we know because you often don’t know how long things have been in the delivery loop- so how ‘fresh’ they are when you first buy them.🤔

Do you ever get the impression that receptionists or "care navigators" (as they are called in our GP's surgery) are there to stop you getting seen by a doctor?

I hope you get an appointment soon.

With paint, if you mix all colours together it makes (almost) black.

However with light, if you add all colours of light together, you get white. Maybe it is like natural daylight to veg if you rotate the colours, though i doubt if it'll help to preserve them ?

Thanks Shel, Mr FP is nagging me at the moment to try & make another GP appointment, it’s just such a time consuming process but leg is definitely more swollen today.

Re- fridge, I don’t know about high-tech, I don’t get how going red, blue, green, white is supposed to replicate normal daylight! It IS quiet though.😊

Yesterday (Sat) was a few screenouts, issues , oh no something has gone wrong, you've already completed this survey (?), so only 35p so far. This morning is no better. The sun is shining now (7am) and I'm just going to water the tomatoes before taking Glo to her church in Portsmouth. The beans seem to have lost the battle with the blackfly. Potatoes are unusual shapes but very tasty.

Didn't get any today.
