    Well done to all who added some bonus, especially awl & Jaffa, I’ve not found anything today so far, just 13p up, hope you’ve all done better.

    It’s been really windy here today, a few light showers wafting past but nothing lingering, though it sounds like some people were lucky enough to get some.

    There was a strange bird in our tree, black & bigger than a Blackbird but slightly smaller than a crow with a black beak but two white patches either side of the breast, anybody know what it might have been? Haven’t seen one before, wondering if it was European & escaping the fires & smoke.

    I hope you are all doing ok, possibly enjoying some showers & a respite from the heat, though they are still forecasting a 5th heatwave for next week!

    Well done awl & Shyboy & everyone who managed to add some bonus, commiserations if you tried but were unlucky. Sorry Bruce8, I can see you’ve gone up £6 but as I don’t know which day/days you got some I can’t put it on until I’ve got a clear day to check. Hope that makes sense.

    Mr FP hung all the washing out then went off to the recycling place, even though the forecast was predicting rain, it was dry & sunny when he left, rang me to say he was stuck in traffic - then it poured down! 🌧️ very briefly but enough to wet the laundry, - it was very warm though so it all dried out quite quickly.

    I’m running late again, too many phonecalls. Hope some of you have had some showers, preferably rather longer, more useful ones.

    Bridie still hasn’t checked the site & has gone down a place now too. Hope you get well soon Bridie, if you’re in hospital. Hugs to you & NokeyBlokey & any other members not feeling too well at the moment.

    • Was a bit wet (from the sky) when the children and I took Megan up to Hampton Court Palace.

      The children are my 26 year old son and his 24 year old friend.

      Megan is the boat.

    • Been drizzling here last 3 nights & all today.. At least it's a bit cooler & forecast cloud/drizzly all this week, dropping from 22C to 16C by Sunday, then going up again. I hate getting wet as much as the heat.

    • No showers, still waiting. Really not liking my position number on the leaderboard, will have to do some surveys when I finish holiday club.

  • Apart from my return at 146, Hemlock is back at 114, so quite a few down 1 or 2 places

    Obviously Sunday wasn’t an improvement on Sat. Congrats to awl & Barrie for finding something to complete 👍 Hopefully today has been better, though I’ve not had any luck so far.

    Keep getting the same odd survey- asks you to copy the letter/number combination into the box then either takes you to a page to join a survey company or tells you it’s a mistake. No screenouts, doesn’t return you to pmp, just a waste of time, anyone else had them? Can’t remember the name now.

    Cloudy here to start the day, then warm & sunny for the afternoon then cloudy again, Mr FP did some washing but when he went to hang it out a very fine mist was blowing along in the breeze so got left in the conservatory. No sign of damp on the paths or the roofs we can see, so don’t think it will have been of any use.

    I did see a forecast saying Tuesday would be thundery showers in some areas but also saw a prediction for a 5th heatwave in August.

    Hope everyone is ok, hope you all had a nice weekend, I’m running a bit late again, still wondering if Bridie is ok, as no movement on the site for over a week now, do hope she’s not ill.

    • I’ve had texts from home saying it’s pouring down but barely a drizzle in Devon.

    • It didn’t last long Susiewoo2, & didn’t leave any trace but quite pleasant while it lasted.

    It was a bit odd here today, mostly cloudy a.m. quite warm & sunny afternoon then heavy dark cloud descended & we were expecting some rain, though nothing in the forecast. No rain so far, Mr FP has just gone out to water the pots & G.House, so it might actually rain now!😄

    Hope you’re all having an enjoyable weekend, anyone else at a music festival like Kiwi Shel 🥝? Hope it doesn’t rain there.

    • I'm sure there will be recipes on the interweb because all I remember is that you cut off the stalk end, dig out the seeds & pack the hollow with a brown sugar \(I can't remember which one though).

    • Hi Barrie, now marrow rum, there is a thought. my son likes rum, it not something I would tend to go for. Ginger on the other hand would be a problem

    • I.ve not been reading all of the comments lately so I don't know who was annoyed or annoying but I'm glad to see that you are still with us Bruce.

      You could let some courgettes get marrow sized & make marrow & ginger jam or marrow rum.

    • Thanks Poppy, it is a worry. The optician has said it may (on may not) improve, so they've covered their bases! I'm still OK to drive as it isn't a problem in my right eye.

    • Thank you, it was not my finest hour and I shall try to avoid such comments in the future. I was planning to stay away a while however as I seem to have been reading some of my own obituary, I thought it best to return.

      On a more serious note the courgettes are taking over so I've decided to try making chutney.

    • The blue avatar doesn't necessarily mean you've left the site does it? When I took my photo off once, it didn't go back to the coloured icon it went to the blue avatar, but I was still on the site. Then I put a photo back on.

    • Yes I noticed he’d become anonymous yesterday, and I’d read the stackpot comments, didn’t realise he’d gone for good though!

      Thought he was just making a point, as in previous frustrations.

    • Just noticed that. Admittedly, I saw the start of the thread the other day, didn't agree, and stopped reading it. Didn't realise it went so far until I saw the leaderboard today.
