No sign of rain where I am for at least a week!Trying to keep the lawn and plants hydrated is hard as any grey water goes no where as it’s so dry.I did mulch all the garden in spring so I hope that does help.

We did have a cool breeze first thing but it gets hotter during the day until about 5pm.

Hi Jaffa, I gave up on trying to get it to do it overnight- I put it on yesterday, as I knew we’d be out most of the day & instructed it to ‘Download now’ then turned it off & left it to get on with it! We were home late & when I checked it was still saying it was d. loading- next time it said it was still ‘installing’ but eventually it came on as normal- goodness knows why it took so long!

Lovely breeze? A strong hot wind here. Anything more than a foot high is getting blown down. Dead leaves being blown around. Quite a few beans are now in the freezer. The aspidistra which has lived outside for the last thirty odd years has been divided and repotted into six pots. Fish pond topped up as the level had dropped four inches. The one Ladies Mantle plant bought some years ago has spread right around the pond and the bed alongside the workshop. It is looking lovely at the moment.

We had cloud this morning and then sun this afternoon, with a nice breeze.

I got stung on the neck by a wasp, while travelling in the car (as a passenger). I didn't realise just how painful wasp stings are until today!

A little better in the classroom today 28.5. I managed a stint outside in the shade this afternoon and it was very pleasant.😊

We have been to the Marlborough open studios today.It was hot but refreshments offered at all venues .I bought lots of gifts we had a nice lunch and home to watch tennis on I player.Alovely day .

Thanks FP. Blowing a gale down here, temperature still showing as 29 but feeling bearable. Bit worried about Mr Susiewoo's chilli plants. He's got several out on our little patio now, quite a size, he's been out with garden canes and string trying to keep them upright (hate the things myself but the plants look lovely). Seem to remember having this conversation last year 😄

The last couple of nights have had a very welcome breeze, which has made sleeping far more comfortable.

We always get a strong breeze as my Hollyhocks reach 7ft I sympathise Shyboy.

Been a strong hot wind today. Blown all the glads down. Picked a load of beans, having those tonight Spent nearly two hours watering and had to come before I collapsed from the back pain. Having a coffee and sit down before I get the beans and spuds ready for cooking. Glo's having milk fish when I get round to grilling it. I'm having a sausage roll that I found in the freezer.

The breeze started coming into the bedroom so we got more sleep than expected.

Very breezy in TN8 last night, knocked things off the window ledges, got some cloud cover this morning.

Bruce you must have to spend a lot of time watering in this heat !

Gardening update:

A little breeze this evening. was out in the garden late afternoon. Picked most of the blueberries, and the remainder of the red & white currants.

Lifted the rest of the potatoes, won't need to buy any for some time. Have put some manure into where I lifted them from and put some old sprouting potatoes in. May do nothing however the old spuds would have gone for compost if I hadn't planted them so no loss.

Cut my 6th yellow courgette and another baby cucumber. Have had to enlist the help of one of my neighbours do help address the courgette backlog.

Supposed to be around 30 for the next 10 days - so almost cool !

I'm afraid we can't see a member's bonus history, so we wouldn't be able to say how much someone's bonus had increased by each day. Whatever it was, it does sound like awl is having a very impressive run!

Hi awl, firstly congratulations on your brilliant total for Wednesday - I’m working on the previous days figures- I can’t see what anyone else has on the day, only what is shown for the previous day when the LB updates each morning. So anything you add after that time is only visible to you and will count as part of the following days LB update.

I record the pence but I don’t list them for the post.

On Monday it showed : £2924.41 = £0

So on Tuesday it showed £2935.46 = £11

On Wednesday it showed £2946.77 = £11

On Thursday- (today) it was £2987.59 = £41

That’s the amount I can still see now at 3.38am & it won’t change until it updates later in the morning.

I can’t remember precisely what time it updates but it makes very little difference to my post as all I can see is the previous days total at the time of the update.

I know some people find it confusing but it’s just the way it works, I can see my total for today- a pathetic 3p☹️ but I won’t see yours until later, when it updates.

I hope that makes sense. If it doesn’t I’m blaming the heat!

Perhaps 1 of our lovely admin ladies can confirm.

@Em - dab thick bleach on the mould to kill it. Air conditioners work by taking heat from the air & releasing it elsewhere (usually outside). A wee atomiser bottle of water on your skin may help too.

@Star Rocker - keep clicking on survey links at various times of day/night, remember most come via USA which is 7 to 12 hours behind so often more later, every little helps. Don't forget most lead to a survey wall if there is a wee link below it, so don't close the tab.

You have to be in the right bracket for the high paying ones and often that means still working as several are business related.

How do you manage to add £11 to your bonus? Are you clicking on adds and signing up for things, or is it purely from doing the surveys?

I have trouble with the surveys on most days, with them not allowing me to do them. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to be awarded 5p. Otherwise, the most that I usually accrue in a day is 3p.

It's going to take me many years to get any decent amount of money on here at this rate!

Another hot day in North London. Our site is open in SE London, but Himself appreciates that I have a longer commute so he has allowed me to work from home today. So I'm sitting in my darkened room with the fan blasting on me.

Not too many surveys today so far, and I have Ralphypoodled breathing down my neck.

I have bought myself two portable air conditioners, but the problem is I am too hot to move furniture around right now. Plus in the lounge, the bay has mould on the wall underneath the window that would need to be cleaned off first and it just feels like too big a job. Probably my mental state more than anything. Though the sofa chair in the window is heavy for me, to be fair. I'm finding it hard to be motivated with my current circumstances, let alone in this heat.

Friday will be the hottest day here with 27C & hardly a breeze, but not as hot as you poor lobsters down south (glad I moved north from London). Couldn't even sit out on my balcony this afternoon, it was stifling. I don't feel like eating either, & I'm using my inhalers a lot more..

When I open my windows at night to cool down, insects come in & low flying planes till 2am, & they wake me about 5.40am, one every few minutes..

Try putting a white cotton sheet, bath towel or covers over the seats, or some reflecting foil over the windows when parked. An early appointment before it gets hot would be best..

Enver - sure they are all scams brought on by the extreme heat. None of them have any means of getting rid of the heat created by cooling the air. Normally, it wold be an external unit fixed to an outside wall (or a big tube hanging out of a window).

I think many could be scams, or if genuine will be sold out till the heatwave (or summer) is over.

My lady friend has one still in its box, she also recently got fitted expensive blackout blinds to keep the heat out (or warm inside in winter).

It's hot here in Southampton. Today is forecast to be 30 degrees. It's going to be 29 or 30 all week and 31 at the weekend. We're currently not supposed to have any rain until 17th. A hosepipe ban comes into force for all Southern Water areas on Friday.

We were outside in our summerhouse watching tennis all evening as it is getting hotter here so it’s nicer outdoors in the evenings.Its edging up to high twenties this week but at least the house has not been shut up as last time.
