    Some very nice amounts there congrats to all who added something, anything to their bonus, any luck today? Nothing here so far, many ‘issues’ think something’s stuck!

    It’s been a gloomy sort of day, very cloudy and some persistent rain this morning and into the afternoon. Absolutely no thunder or lightening, just dull & damp & dreary but saves watering the pots.

    Current forecast is still saying a further warm spell for the weekend following the Bank Holiday - Sept. 5th, so something to look forward to, only supposed to be to the low 20*’s so quite a pleasant outlook.

    Heard a loud thud, last night, came from the front garden. Looked out to see my beautiful rose bush- covered in flowers- had been flattened! & was laying across the path! Any guesses??

    Hope you’re all ok & managing to get out & about before we move fully into Autumn.🍂 lots of leaves already dropping from some trees.

    • Haven't seen that increase in bonus for some years! A couple of political surveys, and two Prodege that I actually finished were a surprise addition.

  • Today has been one of those days where I could kill someone very easily.I didn’t of course but just saying it takes the stress down a notch.

    Quite a nice day here, warm & dry, quite a bit of cloud but some sunshine too. The forecast is for thunderstorms from early morning through tomorrow Thursday, with a risk of flooding in some places + large hailstones! Nothing happening here yet!

    Did anyone feel the earthquake yesterday? Nothing over here but I think it said the Lincolnshire area but felt further north east too.

    • 200/300 every year in the UK.....

    • A lot of volcanos🌋 could be reactivated by larger tremors, including EH castle & Arthur's seat. Also loads of houses could fall down old mineshafts.

      I wouldn't notice any tremors, it could be a low flying plane, lawnmowers, traffic, or someone's washing machine spinning.

    A really good day for awl & Enver & reasonable for most, congrats to all who managed a bonus increase, I have to thank Marie for sorting out a non paying survey, or I’d just have had a few pence.

    I’m getting the constant ‘issues’ at the moment, so no chance to actually enter a survey! It does seem to go in cycles though, so will just keep trying & hope for a political one.🤞

    Re the fridge/freezer situation, Mr FP found a suitable replacement, taller though so would have had to swap places with the big freezer. Had all the relevant specifications & It was available that night but suddenly disappeared as he tried to order it!!!

    Then got an ‘out of stock’ notification- got an email from them AO? to say it was back in stock in the morning BUT it had gone up £47 in price!! Decided it was a bit of a con so they can keep it!

    Given up looking for now! More than half the ones we’ve looked at weren’t in stock when it came to ordering. Perhaps they are all stuck on ships , awaiting passage via the Straits of H.

    Quite a pleasant day here, though forecasts are threatening heavy thunderstorms & hail stones in the non too distant future! I guess we’ll find out!

    • We did Barrie, 😇 it is the obvious 1st thought when someone mentions a shed, to be fair our ‘outbuilding’? is described as a Mistle on the deeds, think they’d have to be pretty small though!

    • I hope everyone realised that I was thinking of a wooden shed. I had one years ago & although it was only a small drop it had shifted & cause the door to tilt.

    • Yes it is still upright. When the house was built in the 1930s it would have been the garage however cars have grown and it hasn't so somewhere in its history it became a shed. Had a similar problem last year though this is the worst it has been. I'm thinking that it maybe time to plan an alternative however I need to get into it an empty it at some point. A wooden shed near the house would be one option and an opportunity to clear out the junk.

    • Our shed has a similar problem Bruce8, must be weather related. Definitely still upright Barrie as it’s a stone built 2 room outbuilding at 1 side of the b.garden.

      Mr FP is planning new hinges, as they appear to have sagged! But maybe a new door is the sensible answer.🤔

    • Probably a silly question but have you checked that the shed is still upright?

    • 13c - 20c here today with a good chance of drizzle & a nice strong breeze. ... Power bills cap goes up today.

      @Bruce8 - the door expanded with rot or wet/rusty or caught on debris underneath? It'll also stop thieves getting in.

      We can't get cheap wine in Scotland, too many young drunks on Buckfast, so Govt put a minimum price on alcohol few years ago, & my friends fave Scotsmac vanished from shops.

    • Got on with a few jobs here today. Wash clothes & sorting out some others to go to charity.

      Decided to put some of my son's "stuff" back in the shed, as he seemed to have lost interest in it.

      Opened outer door with a little difficulty battled with inner door for some time. Key got stuck in lock eventually using a chisel, fork, pliers, screwdriver, hammer, oil and me, I was able turned the lock. With more force got door to open about 2 inches. I would have used a sledgehammer, though that was of course in the shed I was trying to get into. It didn't want to open further and didn't want to close any more so left it as a job for tomorrow.

      I need to remember that I'm getting on for 70 so using my body as a battering ram doesn't work as well as when I was in my 40s.

      Have a doctors appointment for a completely unrelated matter tomorrow .....

      On an unrelated and more serious note Mum says she's run out of wine! She is expecting some from my cellar when I go up on Sunday, for her next hospital appointment.

      For those that know me here, you won't be surprised to learn that my onions are now in the dishwasher!

      I've divided up my fridge's 2 compartments into stuff bought - i.e. mainly fruit. The other, is veg that I've grown.
