    Congrats. to all who added some bonus & commiserations if you tried but had no luck, how has today been? Hope some of you have received a survey you could complete.🤞

    It’s been mostly bright & sunny today but quite chilly, there was a bit of breeze though so the bedding got mostly dry & is on the landing being finished off by the dehumidifier.

    Definitely getting colder, especially overnight- We’ve still got the Summer Duvet on, so having to have electric blankets on overnight now, would usually have changed it by now but can’t do with the weight on my leg at the moment.

    Am planning to ring the surgery tomorrow to try & find out if they’ve sent the referral yet- it’ll be two weeks on Wed. Swollen right up above the knee now & has fluid leaking out all over.🥲

    • I only have one type of Duvet and usually in the summer months I just sleep under a sheet. I have gone as far as closing the bedroom window at night.

      Outside I've removed the last rod from the greenhouse, so the windows will no longer automatically open. I've also be able to close and lock the shed door. I was hoping for a few dryer days so I could mow the lawn again however I'm expecting rain each day until the weekend.

      On Sunday I'll be heading up to Mum's to do the paperwork and shopping. There is also a hospital appointment for a pre-op. She has to have surgery under a general anaesthetic on Monday 2nd. My sister will be with her for that.

    • Oooh I envy you with your lovely warm quilt Jenkins, brr!🥶 - M&S had some nice nighties but I bought them in the sale May/June time, so don’t know what this years ones are like.

      I tried 5/6 different places for Summer nighties, most had to be returned as sizes varied massively, if you’re able it’s better to go & look in store.

    • Thank you all so much for good wishes re leg, I rang the surgery today ( at least they haven’t resorted to ans. machines yet…)

      I was no. 29 in the queue but got through eventually and they confirmed that the referral has gone through & the clinic should be arranging me an app. asap. Not heard anything yet from them but fingers crossed 🤞

    • Your leg sounds awful FlowerPower I hope that they sort it out soon rather than hearing that they've learnt a lesson.

    • FP if your leg is leaking can they not pressure bandage it for you until they decide on the problem?Not great for you.

    • I put the winter duvet on last week, love it, so cosy. Am now looking for long sleeved nighties as mine are all short sleeved. I think it will be a chilly winter !!! Fingers crossed you get leg sorted soon.

    • FP, I am sorry to point out but I reached the £3200's, I'm always putting things in the wrong order. Yesterday I only had screenouts and today seems to be going the same way. I've been told that I've finished today's surveys.

      Had it sprung on me last Friday that we were going to Kent this coming Friday to see Gl's neice because the great niece (spoilt brat) did well at uni. Phone call last night and it is cancelled because they've all got a bug. That has saved me from finding £120 for train fares, £30 for taxis, plus a b&b for one night.

    • Sat out on our terrace overlooking Mevagissey harbour having breakfast and it was hot!It does get cool in the evenings though and temperatures due to drop on Sunday.Still it’s lovely to still have sun.

      Hope you all have a good weekend two more sets and all done for us to enjoy the rest of Sunday.

    Doesn’t look like many are but maybe just really busy as I am at the moment, good luck with any surveys you’re offered, especially during the approaching weekend when it’s generally slower.

    Hope Mr & Mrs Jaffa arrived safely in Cornwall and have found some pleasant weather, good luck raising cash for charity’s at the festival, hope the weather cooperates.

    • Yes we arrived after a detour due to an accident and are staying with the other group members in a house overlooking the harbour.After torrential rain in the evening the day dawned warm and sunny and had a lovely stroll around chatting to shops and stall holders before our chaps started singing early evening.This event raises money for Mevagissey and surrounding villages to update their village halls, Christmas lights and other good local causes.There are lots of groups here that we have not heard before so that was good too.Tomorrow is looking cooler but fine so fingers crossed for good crowds.

    It rained here on / off - then dried up until this evening, it’s just poured down, hope you’ve had better weather, the forecasts are a mixture of normal & severe disruption, so not particularly reliable as mostly dependent on effects of the so called Super El Nino making its presence felt across the world this year. Possibly a severe Winter for the UK but all rather unpredictable for now.

    I’ve wasted several hours trying to contact people with very little success, spent almost the same again, trying to appeal the hospital parking fine, had to check various websites to find a relevant download to use, then their site refused all versions of BB photos, didn’t use either of our ‘go to’ formats!😡 so just ended up adding the relevant details to the original download. Keeping my 🤞

    It’s not been a bad day here some early sunshine, clouded over afternoon but dry & not too cold. Hope it’s been reasonable where you are.

    I’ve still got a long ‘to do’ list, a rapidly increasing email list & TBRP. I’ve not been anywhere but I’m really fed up with this blooming leg, planning to ring the Clinic tomorrow to see if they’ve actually received the referral.

      I don’t see the editing as any sort of work, to be honest I really enjoy the books & the typos & grammar problems just leap out at me anyway & because I do it gratis they can’t complain if I don’t get it back to them by their preferred date.😊
