We’re hiring a part-time Social Media & Content Assistant at Pick Media Ltd.
Pick My Postcode has 200,000 people logging in every day. We need someone to help us look after our channels — Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok — and tell the stories of the people who use the site.
It’s 7.5–15 hours a week, fully remote, flexible hours, £12–16/hr. You can be based anywhere in the UK.
We’re not looking for someone who manages social media in theory. We want someone who actually does it — ideally someone who’s already running a channel, a project, or an account of their own and knows what makes content work.
If that’s you, email us a link to something you’ve made and a few lines about why you want the role. CV optional.
Social Media & Content Assistant
Pick Media Ltd · Fully remote · 7.5–15 hours per week (flexible within reason)
About Pick Media Ltd
Pick Media Ltd runs Pick My Postcode — the UK’s largest free daily postcode lottery, with over 200,000 logged-in returning users each day. We’re a small, commercially minded team with a large, highly engaged audience.
We also operate Find Out Now, our MRS-accredited research and polling panel, which runs audience surveys for brands and agencies across the UK.
The Role
We’re looking for a part-time Social Media & Content Assistant to help us make the most of our audience across Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, and TikTok.
This is a flexible remote role — 7.5 to 15 hours a week, with timing that works around you. You’ll be working directly with the founders and have real ownership of our social output from the start.
This suits someone who wants real responsibility quickly and the chance to build their skills on live channels with a genuinely large, active audience.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and schedule social content across our main channels (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok)
- Write copy and source or create simple visuals for posts — winner announcements, prize features, engagement prompts, seasonal content
- Monitor comments and DMs; respond to community messages in our brand voice
- Keep a simple content calendar up to date
- Flag performance data to the team — what’s getting traction, what isn’t
- Support ad-hoc content requests from the commercial team (e.g. partner posts, campaign support)
About You
- You’re comfortable managing social media accounts professionally, not just personally
- You can write well in a warm, accessible, non-corporate tone
- You understand what makes content perform on each platform — especially Instagram and TikTok
- You’re organised and reliable: if something needs to go out on Tuesday morning, it goes out on Tuesday morning
- You can work independently without much hand-holding
Nice to Have
- Experience with scheduling tools (Buffer, Later, Hootsuite, or similar)
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva is fine)
- Short-form video editing (Reels, TikTok) — not essential but a bonus
What We Offer
- £12–£16/hour depending on experience and location — we pay a modest London weighting for candidates able to come into our Finsbury Park office occasionally
- Fully remote with flexible hours — you can be based anywhere in the UK
- 5–15 hours per week, flexible within reason — we’re happy to work around other commitments
- Paid holiday (pro-rated)
- Direct access to the founders and genuine ownership of your channels
Pick Media Ltd is an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds.
