Tribute to Simon White, (1988 – 2026)

Tribute to Simon White

In honour of Simon, we are sharing the memorial tribute page for anyone who would like to see the photos and messages shared for Simon. It includes the details about the funeral and information on the live stream to attend virtually, if anyone wishes to do so.

It also has details for the two charities Emma has chosen to support in his honour: AMMF and Cancer Research UK. As of 22/05, over £1,000 of donations have been made through Simon’s tribute page.

Emma is extremely grateful to those who has donated, as well as everyone on site for their continued support.

We are sharing this tribute and fundraising page with Emma’s blessing. Donations are managed through MuchLoved and the charities chosen by Emma. Please note our company is not responsible for the administration of donations, fundraising activities or third-party content.

  • Question of the day: What’s the biggest setback you’ve had in your life?

If you have any questions that you would like us to ask, please feel free to email us at admin@pickmypostcode.com

    • Being made redundant from BP in 1999

    • Rejection by Nicola, just before my A-Levels.

  • Oh blimey, just noticed that ad for "excepcional" beer! 😖😖😖

The mispelling is obviously deliberate, so that people will notice it. Well, I've certainly noticed it, and it annoys me so much that I'll never buy it!

    • Three words: Vorsprung durch Technik

    • The beer is called Madri Excepcional. It is the Spanish word for exceptional.

    • Pickled gecko would improve it's taste. Real lager is beer but most sold in this country is high alcoholic strength water.

    • It's some location in three little words of course.

What exactly is "Spanish style" cerveza anyway, look at how many lager beers 🍻we have in British Isles & how many ways they're made & served, bottles, cans & draught, not to mention "pale & real ales" & "stouts", could we call any "British Style"? , Spain is much bigger so logically has more, both people & beers, ...

is it Pairo'knees mountain🗻spring or tap💧agua, hops barley or wheat (& where is it grown?), lovingly & religiously pressed by caballeros mutilados 🦶feet or by ✋🏼hand, cold or warm filtered, 🔥roasted, fizzy or still, matured for many years (1666?) in oak barrels under a blazing Spanish🌞😎sun or underground, warehouse, ... then served in a flamenco💃🏼 glass with El🐮Toro's horns sticking out the🧊 ice, an 🌂umbrellla, & maybe a slice of🍋 limon.& some spanish fly?

Then when you've drank half you find some greasy diego's false teeth or a pickled.🐍 gecko in the bottom of it, or the giant cockroach that dropped in for a drink ... Viva Espana.

    • A few similar comments on here over the past week or so.

Some of us are more affected by words that appear odd to us in someway.

On a different note, today’s video act is called DOPESICKFLY. When I read this I immediately felt a faint sense of revulsion, and irrational or not, I decided not to watch or listen to the performance.

Words, names etc can definitely influence us.

    • It's not a mis-spelling if you're Spanish, and the beer is Spanish style.

  • NASA to send shopping drones to moon!!!! (BBC rolling headline.) The immediate thought was 'Amazon, surely,!🤔 Then my eyes & brain got synced. Hopping!!! 🤣🤣🤣

  • Is sex in Wem, Shropshire any better than anywhere else then? :-)

    • Titchy - Perhaps so. They were too busy to claim.

    • It depends on your partner, same partner the answer is no, a different partner could be yes or no. If the current partner satisfies I'd rather not find out.

    • ;-)

  • I won 🥳

    Stackpot £10 + £103.80 Bonus on 21/5

After a quick confirmation email the money was in my PayPal the next day 22/5.

  • Question of the day: Do you believe in magic?

If you have any questions that you would like us to ask, please feel free to email us at admin@pickmypostcode.com

    • FORGIVE CAPS PMP.

IT DEPENDS ON YOUR DEFINITION ✨

    • "The speed of the hand decieves the eye, & it's all done by mirrors".

So deception & trickery, & misleading words & motions to confuse the mind.

No such thing as real magic.

    • Love that Little Owl. 😀

As for other magic… Magic is the use of rituals, symbols, or special abilities to manipulate natural or supernatural forces, making impossible things happen. It is a versatile concept that spans several distinct domains.

      So no, it doesn’t exist.

    • When a small roe deer came into my garden and looked at me with Bambi eyes it was magical. Don't know where it came from!

    • Not in magic trickery, no but anything advanced enough to be beyond our current understanding could be seen as magic, so I think there are some things still to be explained that could seem like magic.

    • csikijanos - double pedantry alert: Star Wars, Han Solo, Millennium Falcon, need I say more?

    • I believe in scoffing a box of Black Magic.

    • The Lovin' Spoonful released it as a single in 1965. Great recording.

    • Nice one Kat. Sounds like my O. H. :-)

    • Mr Tom does, or maybe he thinks we keep an invisible army of staff!🤬

    • Nope, my uncle was an amateur magician so I got to know how tricks worked.

    • ***pedantry alert***

make the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs?

A parsec is a distance (rather more than 3x10^16m)

    • I'd like to.

I'd also like to believe in God, reincarnation, Superman, Warp Drive, Dragons, the Loch Ness Monster, non-corrupt politicians, and the ability to make the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs.

      But I don't.

  • Happy🎂Birthday🥂🥳 to Barrie's wife Lin🎊.

    • She's still got the cards up. I'll probably try to book a meal for Friday evening, most reviews seem to be on the 1 or 5 stars but the one's appear to be nasty or in one case confused by Mediterranean.

    • 🎂Happy belated Birthday to Lin. 🎂

    • Happy Birthday to Barrie's Lin, your breakfast sounds vile and as for mushrooms, they become chewy and rubbery when they are old and well past it (yuk)! Book your meal, it will hopefully make up for the abomination of the breakfast.🤢

    • The place I was thinking of doesn't open until Thursday.

The annoying thing about breakfast is we walkked past a greasy spoon where the breakfast is just under £7 for a better meal whereas the place we used is a nicer looking place. Our punishment for being snobs. 😂

    • Happy birthday to Lin. I hope you leave an honest review of the place which served such a vile, expensive meal? They all seem to ask you to leave one these days.

    • Happy Birthday Lin 🥳🎂🎁

    • "I'm still in half a mind to boo a meal"?

By the sound of that breakfast, you should have.

      Happy birthday to Lin.

    • Happy birthday Lin 🎂

    • @Barrie - only ½ a mind - that's more than usual. - Book it, it can't be worse than breakfast and may make up for it!

      Happy burfday to 'her indoors'

    • Happy birthday Lin.

    • I'd already got her a top & a new jewellery box. This morning she wanted to have breakfast out so we went to a cafe\bar where we often have coffee & had a nearly average breakfast for £13 each plus coffee. The sausage was rancid & the mushroom was hard to chew. How the hell can a mushroom be hard to chew?

I'm still in half a mind to book a meal at A place wee haven't been to for over forty years & several owners ago.

    • Happy Birthday Lin have a wonderful day 🎉🎁🍰🎉🎁

    • Happy birthday, enjoy your day.

    • 🎊🎁 Happy Birthday Lin 🎁🎊

    • Send congrats from me!I hope it’s not too hot to celebrate.

    • Happy Birthday Lin🎂

    • Happy birthday to Lin. Barrie, did you get her a nice present?

    • HBD 2 U Lin, I concur Beth ;-)

    • Happy birthday, Lin. 🥳

    • Many Happy Returns of the day to Lin. Is Barrie taking you to a coffee shop?

    • Happy birthday, Lin - don't know how you put up with him, but enjoy your day - you deserve it!

  • Interesting stat I got today. 75% of online scams are hosted on either Facebook or Instagram. Latest one is the Aldi meat box. They keep doing it because they work, and they know FB won’t remove them. Safest advice is to never buy anything off Facebook or Instagram. This is where the criminals live

    • You’re most welcome ANN. 😆

    • I tried not to read but realized at least a couple of items I don't already have so had to read on then. Anyway, added to my shopping list so almost ready for my next order. Thanks for the recommendations.😁

    • Very good!

    • For Sylvia…

(Warning, not to be read by ANN 😆)

Cheap orange parcels clog the floor,

With plastic junk you can't ignore.

A laser grid for slicing cheese?

      A raincoat made for bumblebees?

The picture showed a giant rug,

It arrived the size of a ladybug.

A blender made of flimsy foil,

That starts to smoke and instantly boil.

A glowing tooth to find your keys,

And socks that over reach your knees.

You bought a massager for your head,

It shocked your ear and died instead.

You spent three pounds on useless tat,

And now you're stuck with all of that.

      It’s broken, hideous, and bizarre,

      But hey, you're now a T*** star.

    • Sylvia You are lucky, that's the last thing you'd want. There is the option to just not buy from them but that would be foolish.😃

    • FB and Google won't block temu for me . It's all over PMP pages.

    • I have to admit to selling a car on FBook. Not mine, as I don't use.

The car did sell, but the site is littered with chancers and con artists.

      Buyer and seller be aware.

      Very Aware.

BTW, The car was mine. Facebook account wasn't !

    • I don't go anywhere near either of them. I certainly wouldn't buy anything advertised on a social media site! 🫣

  • I did a survey on another site (not PMP) asking about golf. Do I play golf? Do I watch golf? Answers to both is No but on it went asking about types of golf games, which championships I had heard of, which was most important and then all over again for the women's game. As Husband used to play golf and still watches matches I could make a fist of answering but if any organisation is relying on my answers they should give it up now.

    • But did you get your bonus? I did one and got £4 yesterday for one I'd replied no - think it was medical.

    • I had one on here about football. When I put NO for 'Was I a football fan?', it went on to ask me about my viewing habits and opinions on who would win the cup. At no point was there a 'I don't care' option to answer!

  • No ticket to buy, no cash down the drain,

Just pure free hope for your financial gain.

    • That is perfect.

    • Spot on! 👍👍👍👍

  • pointless collecting 3 p a day doing this for about 10 years

    • It's not pointless. These 3ps add up over the years, and you can always build your bonus more by referring people, signing up to offers or completing external surveys. If you win, you will have a nice bonus pot to add to your winnings, and you never know when that might happen.

The system completes the draws from a database of active account ID numbers using a random number generator and the parameters of the smallest ID number to the largest. It then displays the postcode on the chosen account number as the winner of the draw. All it ‘sees’ is the account numbers of active members, it is not influenced by any other data or outside factors and is as random as a computer can be.

    • The question I would ask is, If it takes about 2 minutes to check all the draws, what earth-shatteringly important thing would you have done with that 2 minutes otherwise? If there is something, go and do it - if not, look and see how much you've won... maybe.

    • It's a bank holiday weekend, so there is always one. I have been a member of this site for well over 10 years, not sure when I joined, but I have won 3 times now. I check all the draws every day. My first win was on the £5 Bonus draw back in 2017. I then won a Flash Fiver draw, and a few months ago, I won on the Stackpot, winning just over £500 with my bonus. I still check, as there are 8 players with my postcode, it could come up again. I hope to win, but don't expect it as it is a lottery. I have played the national lottery, and the most I have won was about £4, and it has cost me a lot more to play than I have gained.

    • For the few complaining, it's FREE, the only 'cost' are a few moments of your precious life. You appear to have better things to do, that win you nothing but you are free to leave at any time. Not everyone can win every day, it's a random draw so stop whining or simply go and take your misery with you. Good luck to everyone else and s big THANK YOU to everyone involved in giving us this free opportunity with no catches.

    • So what's keeping you here then?

You are not being forced to stay by anyone but yourself.

    • Like the rest of us, hope to win but don't expect to!

    • Really worth doing, positive mental attitude....I was lucky and hoping to win again! Keep going.

    • Well, assuming it's 10 full years and that you never did any surveys etc - that'll give you over £100 in bonus. Even winning the smallest draw, you'd still get over £100 for doing very little.

    • I waste way more than a minute every day on other stuff, but I don’t get 3p a day for it

    • Yet you've done it for 10 years! Have you never thought of doing surveys, taking up bonus offers, referring friends and family to increase your bonus?

    • @philbink9 - Sorry you feel that way. I don't feel it's pointless, but that could be because I won once in 2018 on the Stackpot. I've also been playing for 10 years. There is a good community here on the forum though and I'd say that's what keeps me visiting. Good luck to all !

    • It's a lottery, Phil. Some people will win, many won't, just like the lotteries you pay for, except, for this one, you don't pay.

(PS: See Fourbar's post on the Bonus Draw page.)

  • Lost my mum last moth on the 3rd and lost my dad on the 3rd Dec mum 3rd April people says it gets better but not for me it gets harder everyday it's sl strange how u no who ur family r and friends r when u need the help the most can't even pay for mum funeral so I can't even 4give my self on that I adked for help with friends and family but there is no help from anyone 💔 😢

    • Kathleen, sorry to hear of your losses. The thoughts of the whole PMP team are with you at this very difficult time and we all send our deepest condolences.

I hope these links may be of some use to you:

      https://cheltenhambereavement.co.uk/

      https://www.cheltenham.gov.uk/environment/public-health-funerals/

    • The people who organise these public health funerals know what to do & it's straightforward. It was a weight off my niece's shoulders when the lady from the council (?) sorted everything out & dealt with the bank.

    • My Condolences, most banks will let you pay for the funeral out of the deceaseds account, if not then the DHSS may l give you a basic funeral loan which must be repaid.

    • So sorry to hear of your recent bereavements. I hope you get some help soon. Thinking of you.

    • Kathleen, this has brought back memories of when I went to the bereavement department at the hospital and they told me that many people have to leave their loved ones with them because they have no money and don't know what to do. I don't know how families managed during Covid. Good advice above, think you also talk to your family again as they may not realise how desperate you are. My friend's sister had a funeral plan, but she did not have enough money in it, the bank was very helpful and let my friend take out a loan to cover the funeral. Thinking of you.

    • Thinking of you 🥀🙏

    • Sorry for your losses Kathleen. 🥺💐

    • Thinking of you at this terrible time Kathleen. 💞

    • Just be aware that the pain can hit you at any time. Lin seemed to have coped with her mom's death but one day while driving she suddenly lost it & I had to shout at her to stop the car.

    • Sorry for your double loss Kathleen, my dad also passed away last year and it's still quite raw. Try to remember the good times you had together.

    • The others above have offered good advice. If you loved your family and were caring and kind to them you have already done your very best for them.😘

    • Sorry to hear about your struggles Kathleen. I know it sounds awful but the public health funeral is just like the low cost cremations they are always advertising on TV. it's absolutely no shame to ask the council or the hospital if your mother passed away there to help you to organise it. My sister in law had nobody to arrange her funeral & the hospital did it. She had £1500 in her bank account & a few pence. The funeral costs £1500 so they took that & my niece was sent a check for the few pence! Now, if she had only had a few pence in her account then that's exactly what they would have taken & they wouldn't have asked for any money from the family, that's how it works. Take heart & make a couple of phone calls. You need to talk to social services or someone who can guide you through this, there's a funeral grant but it can't be claimed if it's a public health funeral, it's not much anyway. Post again & tell us how you get on. Heartfelt sympathy.

    • Kathleen, sorry to hear of your recent bereavement . The pain does ease but not in such a short time. You have to give yourself time to grieve before you can look back on the good times. Take care of yourself.

    • Ah Kathleen, I send you a big hug. I still miss my mum and dad every day but now I can think of the funny times we shared while they were still with us. I couldn't do it at first because I felt numb. My thoughts are with you xxx

    • @ Kathleen, I am so sorry for your loss. I can not imagine how hard it must be for you to lose both parents in a short time. As with the above message, from help me! There is help and support available. Please reach out to the above for help. Message back on here, and we will try to support you. You have my condolences.

    • Kathleen I'm very sorry to hear of your upsetting situation. There is some help available for some people with the cost of funerals, if it's not too late:

      https://quakersocialaction.org.uk/we-can-help/helping-funerals

There are also funerals called Public Health Funerals which are organised by the local authority in cases where families are unable or unwilling to fund a funeral. Your local council will be able to provide more details.

None of that, of course, addresses the pain of losing a loved one, or two in such rapid succession as in your case.

Cruse is a charity offering bereavement support and there are probably others. This is Cruse's website

      https://www.cruse.org.uk/

I hope that is of some help and I'm thinking of you.

  • DG6 4….. first one for 6 years on Stackpot, and no, it isn’t mine, other side of the river

    • We’re too small and too rural. Our demographic is v old, have to meet in summer because of dark nights in winter. Only 3 of us under 70

    • It looks like a great fair, Stampex being tiny by comparison. At least my local stamp club organises two successful fairs a year.

    • My bonus wouldn’t even pay the air fare

    • Had it been yours a trip to Boston USA stamp fair would have been in order 😉😊

    • Hard Luck, maybe next time, hopefully not another 6years!

  • Gosh, big banner at the top advertising Madri Zero Alcohol beer or lager, which they have described as "Excepcional" - arrgghh, my inner pedant has gone haywire!😱😱😱😂

    • I presume that was aimed at BuaD, not Barrie...

    • From where, Barrie?

    • Not seen that. I get a pneumatic Korean woman

    • That is what Coors tried to infer but it's a load of bauxite.

      Originally a Spanish beer

    • Conceived in error, made in a hurry? Oh, sorry I thought we were talking about fashion! 😂

    • It was created in Burton on Trent & brewed in Tadcaster, Yorkshire.

    • Excepcional is Exceptional when translated from Spanish to English.

    • it's a spanish *themed* beer

    • Madri is brewed by Coors in the UK and is not a Spanish beer. I've also seen the banner across the top.

    • It's a spanish beer

  • broadband-finder.co.uk are doing a similar deal on three but it's £14/month for 24 month, with a £50 voucher (Tesco, Amazon etc) after 90 days. Unlimited Data With 5G Outdoor Hub + 1 Eero. But you must sign up before 31st May. I've no idea what three would be like for you as every area can be different. I've gone through most companies over the years and not been happy with any until I found TalkTalk, which many complain about. Yes, I realise it didn't follow the thread. Do I care? No.

    • DaSoothMoother That's interesting but I find it odd as I've been with them for a couple of years and never had a problem, so even if there was damage it hasn't affected me personally. It's the only company out of many that I haven't had problems with in the whole time I've been with them. I do hear many stories about them so I don't know why the difference.

    • The Aztec area of Bristol?

I didn't know they shot The Crystal Maze in Bristol.

    • Drop something nasty in the Aztec area of Bristol & you cause chaos with transport of goods.

    • Wars don't need to be fought physically any more. Damaging a country's infrastructure, their communications, their energy supplies is a much more effective way.

    • Beth, 🤣🤣

    • ⬆️🤣

    • You could try claiming from that nice, friendly Mr Putin - we found his submarines hovering over our cables in the Channel not long ago. Of course, Mr Starmer said ‘Any country thinking of damaging our cables should know we won’t stand for it.’ Wow, scary…

    • @ANN - I was with TalkTalk for 6 years until the subsea cable from the Frozen North was 'damaged' and we had no broadband or landline phone and TT had no backup in place.

Repaired after 3 weeks and had to chase for any compensation, which was less than monthly payment!

Cable damaged again last September and no broadband or phone again and TT still had no backup, but claimed no responsibility.

Joined BT after 5 weeks as they had backup services and also paid contract cancellation fees.

TT was better service when all was well but rubbish when troble broke out and difficult when trying to get compensation.

      🧙‍♂️🧑‍🦯📞🤣

  • My Broadband contract £24.95p/month 10Mb is almost up.

Is anyone using Three 5G Home Broadband Download 150Mb / Upload 10Mb average. Unlimited use. . Contract 2 years: £14/month to 31 March 2027, £17.50p/month to end March 2028, then £21.00p/month (=average monthly cost £16.34p). What's it like, any drawbacks?

    • I'm on EE - coverage reasonable, with drop-outs frequent due to trees on the lines and substations when there are storms, but that's expected. Think the cost is around £8 for mobile and £24 for broadband. Don't accept their whining, 'that £8 offer's not available now' - I was paying £6/mth and they tried to hoist it to basic £10 or £11, so I said I would go to Lebara, which Martin Lewis said worked out about £1.50/month. Thank you for your service, no problem with EE, but can't accept that increase. Sure enough, next day I get a call-back...

    • Tried Three, 4 years ago but immediately cancelled & sent hub back due to zero coverage/connection speed whatsoever despite them & their website saying I'd get full coverage/speed. No idea if they have improved since, but they should have as they are now owned by Vodafone so connections can use both.

With that said, I ended up staying with who I was with, Vodafone, coincidentally, who I've been with 6 years now on their mobile broadband.

I got 100mb unlimited 4g mobile broadband as it was weirdly cheaper than any fixed broadband along with giving me the ability to be...errr...mobile...lol. So I can simply carry the wallet sized router in my pocket & connect with my laptop or phone wirelessly wherever I am. Very handy, if you need that.

Just checked website & they are offering it still at £20 a month for 5g router or dongle (rising to £22.50 & £25 on April 2027 & 2028 respectively).

I see the yearly increases have crept up as I paid £20, £21.80 & currently just increased to £23.60.

Might give them a ring on Monday (unless I see cheaper in the meantime) to see if I can switch to a new contract with the 5g router which I would guess is much quicker along with being still cheaper than Youfibre, who's prices have crept up quite a lot since they became available. Albeit Youfibre don't have mid-contract rises which negates my issue with the cost out of principle that I think those rises should be banned by OFCOM fully instead of the half-ar$ed way they did it last time which actually resulted in greater increases.

Only downside to Vodafone in my experience is the occasional loss of connection which seems to be them "resetting" something as it usually happens at exactly the same time each day & is always under a minute when it occurs. That & their questionable customer service which is very hit & miss. Great one day & deplorable the next.

      Su.O.

EDIT:- Have to wait until Tuesday as I just realised (a day after posting) that it's yet another bank holiday tomorrow. ;D

    • 10MB up isnt a lot in todays day and age for speeds you can definitely get cheaper and faster and more reliable than that

    • I'm with YouFibre, part of the Netomnia group. When I joined up they paid off my existing penalty fee with EE (who kept putting the price up mid-contract.) YouFibre guarantee a fixed price for the whole year. Virgin Media apparently couldn't reach my house because it's too far up the cul-de-sac from the main road.

My renewal price is £40 p.m. including VoIP phone service, all equipment included, for 1Gbit/s uncontended and unlimited data usage.

    • I left Talk talk last year for Airband - just on the basic 150Mb with VOIP phone for £21.50. I got a great deal after negotiating with TT before but this time it wasn't so good so I went for Airband and they have been very good. Depends whether they're in your area though. I can get you a £50 referral if you wanted.

    • I'm with YouFibre 1800Mbps for £30.

      youfibre.com

Use code QWQ5EU and get a free month!

    • Enver. I've never been happy with the way that works with many companies, but never taken the trouble to check how you can get round it. It can't be legal, as it would be classed as "Unfair Terms and Conditions", but it's still up to the customer to try and fight it. The ombudsman ought to deal with that but I don't know of any Ombudsman that do their job as they should.

    • I won't go near TT, they still want £100 for breach of the rolling contract they put me on, plus costs for letters & 2 lots of debt collectors they sent after it 2 years apart from last time. One second before midnight I was in the existing contract, & one second after I'm automatically in a new contract, = so no way to leave them without breaching.

    • I'm on Fibre 500 with Talktalk at £33/month, unlimited use. This also includes free phone calls on VOIP, one of the main reasons I stayed with them, as many providers no longer cover landline.

It certainly has not been trouble free, but I am into our sixth year and all issues have been amicably resolved, eventually.

They are always open to negotiation.

But your area can make a difference to what is available. When my sister moved south to Dumfries she had less choice than in Glenlivet !

      Happy hunting.

  • Question of the day: What are your plans for the long bank holiday weekend?

If you have any questions that you would like us to ask, please feel free to email us at admin@pickmypostcode.com

    • I believe the church can part the waves to escape from the island.?

You could walk on the water.. if someone knows where the stepping stones are ?

Or is there a boat or secret tunnel somewhere?

    • Thanks @Hopeful, it has been organised by our Church so I'm hoping they have insider knowledge !

      😁

    • Pac Man. Watch out for the tides if you go to Hilbre!

I've got no plans for the long weekend. I've still got quite a lot of pain after suffering my first 'old lady' fall a few weeks ago. I got up, in the night, to go to the bathroom, and somehow fell over. I landed hard on my shoulder and arm, and jarred my whole body. Nothing broken, luckily. I'm slowly getting better, but don't feel like doing much. I will just potter about and try to catch up with whatever jobs I feel up to doing.

I hope you all enjoy your weekend.

    • Studying. Head down until Thursday submission date.

    • Totally with all those on meds that need to stay out of the sun. All a bit new to me, put my factor 50 on as I was taking part in the "colour run" on the field today. Face looks like a lobster 🦞.

    • Volunteering on the last weekend of the 60th Brighton Festival, outside at Black Rock near the Marina, I fear I may melt!!🤣🥵

    • Going to Croatia on Tuesday, so sorting out what to pack and cutting the grass etc before we go.

    • I hope you cope with the heat and Lin has a great birthday.

    • I've never liked too much sunlight or heat but if I'm actually doing something I can cope. We're off to Atilla country for a few hours tomorrow.

Lin's birthday is on Tuesday so various family will be turning up at different times (hopefully)

    • 25th August is not a bank holiday in Scotland, though all our financial institutions still shut. Scotland observes its Summer Bank Holiday on the first Monday in August instead.

It'll be 24C on Monday with 12mph breeze, I can't stand too much heat. I might go for rides on the buses with a packed lunch - maybe to Portobello beach, or stay indoors with windows closed if too hot till very late at night time, then maybe go out for a short walk if cooler.

I've a fan heater which can blow cold warm or hot air, or as a last resort a big 18inch (rotating optional) pedestal fan (someone threw it out, can't think why) - it's like a hurricane.

The best place to be is sitting on the deck of a ship offshore with a good wine.

    • Off to Tunisia on Monday :)

    • Similar to you Caroline C. With photosensitivity I just stay out of the sun as much as possible. Simply indoors with as much air circulation as possible. Must dig out the fan!

    • We're going to have to keep out of the sun this long weekend too. My husband is on meds which react badly in the sun, and we both struggle with excessive heat due to our age and illness. But I was hoping maybe I'd get out for a little walk in some nearby woods tomorrow (possibly evening), before it gets too hot. Apart from that, I'll just be catching up with some admin and stuff around the house. Taking it easy really, after what's been a rough week health-wise.

    • Keeping out of the sun 😒 meds make my skin blister but I love being in the sun! Oh well, life goes on 😁

    • Come to DG. It’s still Baltic here. Didn’t get above 14 today

    • Planning a walk to Hilbre Island, Wirral. Though having second thoughts now.

With the nice weather it may be choc-o-block ?

  • What an interesting question about seances. Having spent decades researching the paranormal perhaps I may be slightly more qualified to be able to answer that : (1) If you research the subject seriously and without an agenda you will see that there is evidence to suggest that consciousness survives death, (2) just because the field has attracted fraudsters and scammers does not mean that the phenomenon is fraudulent, (3) the field has been heavily investigated by numerous scientists and academics since the 19th century (see the incredible investigation of amazing phenomena from the Scole Reports, a place near Diss, Norfolk which saw intense investigation over some 5 years of physical phenomena in the 1990s), (4) the real question should be whether mediums are receiving information via Extra-Sensory Perception (ESP) from a subject or client, or from an external entity, a spirit. I think that most mediums are receiving information from the client's own mind (sometimes also from psychological cues) via ESP (which is remarkable enough), and claim due to belief that a spirit is giving ghem the information. Due to the lack of clarity of information and the 'woodeness' of the so-called 'spirit' it is likely that no spirit is involved, but saying that a spirit is giving information is a useful way to pass the information, or to get kudos. Having said that, when researched properly the evidence for the existence of some sort of After-life is compelling, but actual contact with spirits is likely far less common than realised.

    • @Jaffa - any opportunity for a pun, you know me.

Even if it was a clean one.

    • FORGIVE CAPS PMP.

      BETH8IT,

YES, ALWAYS DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH - NOT ALWAYS RELYING ON THE MAIN SEARCH ENGINES. IT’S KNOWING WHERE TO LOOK.

YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS/SOUL/HEART WILL RESONATE AT ‘FORGOTTEN’ TRUTHS.

    • Ah, but this is the only social media I do. Never touched the others. I’m just born that way, I suppose. Should have been a detective as I seem to adhere to theABC - Accept nothing, Believe nobody, Challenge everything.

    • @ Beth, and areas such as social media makes one cynical. So much misinformation that you become unsure of what is the truth.

    • Didn't understand all of that (I have a problem accepting that electricity exists as it is a total mystery to me!) but what I did get sounds interesting, definitely a subject that could be debated, though maybe not on here due to the amount of space it would take up. I am a cynic who reluctantly has to accept that there are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio...

    • FORGIVE CAPS PMP.

IF YOU USE THE ‘BACKDOOR’ IN GOOGLE THAT ISN’T LAYERED UNDER ALL THE ‘CORPORATE FLUFF,’ IT MAKES FOR INTERESTING READING. THE SAME GOES FOR THE CIA’S DECLASSIFIED PAPERS, THE VATICAN’S 53 MILE-LONG UNDERGROUND SHELVES, AND THE MANY SUPPRESSED TEXTS REGARDING CONSCIOUSNESS, SPIRIT, AND REINCARNATION.

The Fragmented Evidence in Biblical Text :

Even within the standardized, modern Bible, clear fragments of this suppressed worldview managed to survive the censors. Two critical passages demonstrate that the concepts of a soul returning and personal cosmic accountability before birth were openly discussed and accepted during the time of Yeshua:

      * Matthew 11:13–14 (The Return of a Soul): Yeshua explicitly identifies John the Baptist as the physical return of a past prophet, stating: "For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John. And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come."

      * John 9:1–2 (Accountability Before Birth): The disciples openly ask about a man's spiritual history prior to his current life, asking: "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" For the man to have sinned prior to being born blind, his soul must have existed and been accountable in a previous state.

The Mechanics of Institutional Suppression :

The systematic erasure of these concepts from mainstream doctrine was not a spiritual choice, but a geopolitical necessity. By burying the deeper truths of consciousness, spirit, and reincarnation, power structures successfully established a total system of psychological and social control through three primary mechanisms:

      * The Monopoly on Salvation: If you only have one life, and your eternal fate (Heaven or Hell) depends entirely on your obedience to the Church's rituals, the Church holds absolute authority over your soul. If people believed they had multiple lives to get things right, they wouldn't fear the Church's threats of eternal hell. With many lives to grow and learn, you do not require an institutional intermediary.

      * Geopolitical Control: Alternative historical theories suggest that the rulers feared the doctrine of rebirth because citizens who believed they would return in a better next life were less afraid of execution and state punishment, making them far harder to control and subdue.

      * The Eradication of Personal Karma: By replacing cosmic personal accountability (Karma) with a single day of judgment, power structures could dictate exactly what constituted "sin" and "virtue" based on state and institutional needs.

WHAT THESE INSTITUTIONS SOUGHT TO SUPPRESS WAS THE UNDENIABLE TRUTH OF OUR ENERGETIC NATURE. WE ARE ELECTROMAGNETIC BEINGS LIVING IN AN ELECTROMAGNETIC TORUS FIELD. THE UNIVERSE IS COMPOSED OF INTERACTING ENERGY FIELDS - IT’S ALL ABOUT THE FREQUENCY & VIBRATIONS.

YOU CAN SEPARATE YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS FROM YOUR PHYSICAL REALITY - REMOTE VIEWING/OUT OF BODY EXPERIENCES/MOVING OUTSIDE THE BOUNDARIES OF TIME-SPACE (PAST/FUTURE - MORE DIFFICULT)

THE HUE-MAN BODY IN HARMONY/RESONATING WITH THE EARTH’S NATURAL 7.83 HZ ELECTROMAGNETIC CAVITY FREQUENCY CAN CREATE A POWERFUL CARRIER WAVE TO COMMUNICATE WITH OTHER HUMAN MINDS ON THE SAME RESONANCE.

THIS DETACHMENT FROM INSTITUTIONAL CONTROL SEALS ITSELF THE MOMENT AN UNBROKEN CYCLE OF ENERGY TAKES FORM - WHEN FERTILISATION HAPPENS THERE’S A ⚡️ ‘SPARK’ OF LIFE - ‘THE DIVINE SPARK OF CREATION’.

REAL CONSCIOUSNESS CANNOT BE EXTINGUISHED, JUDGED OR RESTRAINED BY A TEMPORAL POWER STRUCTURE BECAUSE IT IS AN INFINITE LOOP OF FREQUENCY WITHIN AN INTELLIGENT UNIVERSE.

    • Definitely telepathy exists and has been studied and verified.

    • Lol was that a pun intended?😉

    • For the next time, ceepotter: https://help.pickmypostcode.com/article/109-how-do-i-reply-to-a-comment

    • I would say the majority of mediums are fairly average.

    • @ceepotter - that's interesting! I must say it is a topic I read about extensively when I was younger. Are you familiar with an Oxford researcher called Celia Green - she used to run what I seem to recall was named the Institute of Psychophysical Research in Oxford. She's researched (mostly anecdotally, I believe, though there may have been some experiment-based studies) and written about things like astral projection and so on. It was very interesting to me at the time, but I guess I grew out of it (and stopped looking for "the answer to life, the universe and everything" at a certain point in adulthood). Anyway, I've no idea if her books are still available but she's worth looking up if you're into that kind of thing.

    • Interesting. When you say consciousness survives do you mean the human Spirit?

  • Question of the day: Have you ever taken part in/would you ever take part in a seance?

If you have any questions that you would like us to ask, please feel free to email us at admin@pickmypostcode.com

    • ABSOLUTELY NOT caps on to express the feeling.

    • But I guess the point is that not everybody believes it is fabricated, and so it wouldn't be seen as fraud. Anyway, everyone is entitled to their own opinions on the subject. Let's draw a line under it before the weekend.

    • @ Purple Anon - exactly.

    • If somebody pays for ot as entertainment only and enjoys the daftness of it fine. When money is exchanged for a fabricated experience, surely that's a fraud.?

    • This subject is a bit like religion. What someone believes might not all be right, but it might not all be wrong. Like Beth8it! said, it's open to interpretation.

    • I believe there is something there but I've never attended a seance. There's nothing wrong in believing

    • No and no - not even out of interest.

    • I've never attended one and am not really interested being an atheist but there are certainly those who do and can find comfort in them. There have always been those who try to exploit people and even a hundred years ago there were mediums who claimed to be genuine but still faked stuff like ectoplasm to enhance the experience even if they weren't taking any money for it. I'm not going to entirely dismiss it, as I believe that there are still things we can't explain and there may be something going on where people can pick up on thoughts and memories of places and people.

    • I think Choc Spaniel was just referring to those who prey on vulnerable people and try to exploit that vulnerability. That's not to say that all mediums are like this though. If people believe in this then that's their prerogative. It might even bring them comfort.

    • Pickles I agree with your points. If people want to believe they are speaking to someone from the other side, and it gives them comfort, then I don't see how that is scamming. I know we might consider them vulnerable , but unless asked for an opinion by the person, it is that persons decision.

As an atheist I have no belief in any god, higher being, afterlife or spirits. I have no religious faith, but that's my belief. I admire people who have a strong conviction and belief in a higher being and a god that will guide them, and provide answers, but I don't judge. If that's what they feel guides them fair enough, it has no impact on my decisions.

    • Nooooooooo ......

    • I thought Steve P made a good point. He said that people who pay for the services may be fraud victims, but not the people who believe in it. Are Christians victims of fraud? Do we classify those who believe in Christ etc and other unseen so-called deities, as victims of fraud? No.

Unless they're told that, for eg, "Great Uncle Arthur said you have to sign your house over to me", they're not being scammed; and as the Fraudulent Mediums Act 1951 was repealed in 2008, a bit harder to prove. I believe it's all lumped together under the Fraud Act 2006. It is entirely legal to charge for a seance as a professional service, and is governed by standard business regulations

TV 'mediums' and so forth usually give a disclaimer that they operate for entertainment purposes only, thereby covering themselves from potential accusations.

I find the most interesting thing is that these days Spiritualist churches operate mainly as Registered Religious Charities, and Spiritualism is also recognised as a formal religion in the UK. now.

I wish people wouldn't voice their opinions as fact, though, as if their voice is the only one that matters. Just because you don't believe in something, you can't just express it with an unequivocal conviction that shuts down anyone else who may want to say something. I'd love to hear from people who may have had other experiences, but they probably won't post now. What a surprise.

    • No it holds no interest for me.

    • Everyone should already know my answer. When you are dead you are dead full stop.

    • Why did the chicken attend a seance?

To get to the other side.

    • @Beth, one of St Paul’s letters to Timothy tells him that scripture (he meant the Old Testament as we call it now), is open to your own interpretation

    • Steve P Of course it’s fraud. The scammers who hold seances know it’s fraud. They charge vulnerable or gullible people for something that doesn’t exist so how can it be anything but fraud. Unless the person paying believes in being scammed?

    • I heard reincarnation is making a comeback.

    • The thing is, what we believe about ‘the afterlife’ or ‘spirits’ or ‘heaven’ is totally irrelevant - nobody can say for sure. Belief can be a great comfort, provided it doesn’t become obsession and provided people are always aware of the potential it gives for scammers. There are a lot of nasty people around. On the other hand, the religions differ so much, how could anyone know what is true? They are all formulated, written down and set out by man, unless you think the Ten Commandments are real, so open to interpretation. Logically, people are born, live then die and that’s it, but if there is such a thing as a spirit, it is also logical that a spirit is not subject to old age, disease, injury and death, so maybe they can contact the living still. Who knows?

    • Attended one when arranging speakers for church youth fellowship

      🧙‍♂️🧑‍🦯🤣

    • Definitely not.

    • Seances are the 19th Century Facebook marketplace. Nothing but scammers

    • No and No from me too scared to do that

    • "No and No. People believing in such a thing are victims of fraud"

      What a stupid comment!

People who pay for it may be but not people who believe in it!

    • No and No. People believing in such a thing are victims of fraud.

  • Nice 200 +76 bonus on the main draw yesterday! ☺️ just hoping the other person registered in my post code doesn’t claim before midday! 😬🤣

    • You don't have to rush for the midday ones, Anonymous, but the 9 am, 6pm and 9 pm ones are 'first come, first served' so the first claimant gets the lot!

    • Always thought it was a first claimed gets all kind of deal. Guess I don't have to rush to check anymore lol

    • No it's not. We explain that most of our draws are shared, apart from the Stackpot and Mini Draws. It gives people a chance to win who may not always be able to check as soon as the draws take place.

      https://help.pickmypostcode.com/article/16-what-are-the-different-draws

    • Does it split the winnings if multiple people from the winning post code claim?!?!

      That's a bit naughty, PMP.

    • 🥳🥳🥳

    • Congrats. 😊

    • Congratulations👍!

      LLAP 🖖!

    • Nice reward in time for Bank Holiday, well done!

    • Well done DB...

    • Congratulations! 🥳

    • Congratz DB.

    • Well spotted.

    • 🎉 Congrats 🎉

    • Very nice

    • Congrats, Dream big. You were the sole claimant and I have paid your winnings to you 🎉

    • Congratulations Dream big. I hour to go. x

  • So near, yet so far! Nice to see a winner from my local area BS15!!

  • Be Sure To Quit Making Marijuana and Ketamine Sandwiches Regularly - Extra Nitrous Oxide will Lift you Up.

    • Enver 😊

    • @BUAD, What's your address? - - asking for a friend.....😈

    • Do they still call them joints or am I showing my age? Spliff, reefer whatever the current term for them, best avoided!

    • That's all we need , ... fishy smelling door hinges!

    • I've heard cod liver oil is also good for joints..

    • I roast my joints.

    • Tried smoking a joint once only...threw up for two solid hours - never again !

    • You can eat most of the mushrooms in this country although the hallucinogenic ones are marked poisonous they will not kill you. There are only a few that will kill you & they aren't common.

    • I’ve smoked marijuana but never bought it. Had magic mushrooms too, which are hilarious but taste awful. Cooking them or making tea is illegal, eating them raw is legal. They grow on my front lawn if you want to try some. 45 years since I’ve done either

    • I could never understand people taking drugs - surely life is wonderful enough not to need enhancement?

    • There are some dopes that smoke it on their balconies, I hate it, the smell (like stale vomit) drifts round the whole estate.

    • The only time I had Mary Jane was when someone sprinkled some on stew when I was at college. I never take drugs that aren't prescribed or sold at a pharmacy not because of any moral choice but because I I don't need them therefore I don't want them.

    • Sounds a bit hot air balloon to me Beth.

  • Here is a bit of dating advice:

‘Never fall in love with the loving gentleman or lady, fall in love when they are angry as that’s what you’re going to be living with for the rest of your life’’

Meaning: it’s the upsets, the anger, the abuse, the reactions, the humiliation in public and feeling downgrading by their actions that you’ll be living with which is always more overlooked. In anger keep away from narcissistic personality traits. Just because they are sweet, kind and loving doesn’t mean they mean it when they throw anger and abuse and blame you for all their issues like you deserve it!

    • Now the rules are being changed - non payers will have longer as the new concessions mean it will normally be anything up to 11-12 months before a tenant can be evicted. So many new restrictions for landlords - no wonder so many are selling up and ceasing to rent. Oh look, the number of properties has reduced…. Fewer for tenants to rent… so prices are kept high.

    • I had a foreign woman as a tenant , & helped her with her english, she refused to pay me the rent the council paid via her as she said "if they paid it to her it was hers to spend on whatever she wanted". I got no joy from the council & took her to small claims court (which was just up the road) but she didn't turn up & got upset with me. She shortly moved to a refuge when she had trouble with a boyfriend, & gave me the address to drop off her things. I found the place but they denied her existance & wouldn't accept the bags, so I left them by the refuge door & texted her to get them. The council eventually paid her rent in full to me months later, but only because I'd taken her to court.

    • I once had to make a delivery at a woman's shelter. The instructions to find it was go to the Police Station and ask where you will be vetted. I passed.

    • Lauren, if you are in this situation and need help, please contact Women's Aid ABCLN in your local area. Their website is https://www.womens-aid.org.uk/ and their phone number is 028 25 632136. They also have a freephone 24 hour Domestic & Sexual Abuse Helpline on 0808 802 1414. They will be able to help.

    • I'm not sure it's a good idea to fall in love with an angry person either. It depends what they're angry about. Some people fall for angry people because they seem strong or powerful, and that can turn out badly. And definitely run a mile from anyone who says they'd never hurt you.

    • So glad I picked a good'un first time! I must admit he definitely took after his parents, having mother's tendency towards negative pessimistic attitudes and his dad's dotty sense of humour. I am definitely turning into my mother - I can hear it in the way I tell the pups off: 'What did I tell you about fighting! Go to bed and don't let me hear a sound out of you!' or 'Don't come whining to me when you get hurt jumping off that pile of bricks!'

    • Oh dear! I hope you are able to get out of this fix. Trouble is people tend to fall for a 'type' over & over, & the roundabout keeps on spinning. Only you can get off but it's not possible if you've nowhere to land safely. Some people also need a victim for their behaviour & actively seek out the same passive 'type' over & over.

Oh, & never take a wanderer back, they apparently think it's a green light to keep slipping the leash. Some of my sister in law's made that mistake.

    • Hope you are ok Lauren

    • I was advised that if you don't like the mother, don't marry the daughter. Both Lin & her sister show their mom's traits in their own ways.

    • Do seek help if you are in such a domestic situation

      National Domestic Abuse Helpline 0808 2000 247

    • I never let any boyfriends meet my mother!😂😂

    • Lauren if and I hope not, you are or was in a relationship which felt abusive then seek advice please. I’ve known people who have been so please take care. ❤️

    • Sounds like someone's having a bad day. I always say look at the mother as that what you're going to end up with. Maybe not such good advice when your girlfriend finds out you're also seeing her mother.

  • I’m fed up checking postcodes and checking to see if I’ve won a free dinner :-( this could go on for another 2 years!!!

Can’t there be other minor prizes every 3 months or something for every 50 people who claims meaning each person out of 50 gets something like £5 voucher or just something?

    • 15 years worth of registrations!

There are a few recent wins with higher numbers of eligible members.

      I didn't look very far but the highest was 14/04 SW1A 1AA - 35.

      22/05 - WD19 4LY - 5 21/05 - E3 5JQ - 5, 13/04 - SK15 1EE - 5

    • The amount of active and dormant accounts can change so regularly that to separate the entries into which fall into which category would be almost impossible. It's only there as a guide.

    • Whilst I completely agree with the 'its free and random so we shouldn't complain' message, I do think there's something misleading about how many postcodes are registered. I have checked my postcode and a few family members and they all have between 7 and 9 registrations (in theory great, extra chances to win) but I never see any draws with more than say 4 potential winners. Presumably the extra people in my postcode are registered but not active

    • It's exactly as other have said, totally random. I have been here over 10 years and yet to win. My daughter joined and won within a few weeks. Keep checking and you never know, and in the meantime your bonus will be building up nicely each day.

    • Some people win soon after joining and others have been here since the beginning and are yet to win. That is just how a random draw works.

Please remember that this free prize draw giveaway is like a lottery, you're best to hope you'll win, not expect to! :) Each member’s entry has the exact same chance of being selected in a draw.

    • It's best to hope for a win rather than expect to win! Lots of us have been checking every day for many years.

    • It's not like it takes more than a minute or two.

    • You have to bear in mind that there’s no timescale to winning… members win on day one or two or day 620 or never. It’s just random luck. 😊

The only guarantee is that you won’t win if you don’t check the 9 draws every day, or if you leave.

    • Well said, CarolineC. Lauren, I may have misunderstood. Do you really think that winners should also have an extra chance to win other prizes as well? Or did you mean a whole new draw for everyone? Because the only people who can 'claim', whether it be here or WinaDinner, are the ones picked. by the computer. That would still mean that you wouldn't get a chance if your postcode/ID wasn't drawn in the first place. The size of the prizes paid relates to the money that PMP gets from the ads you see on the site. Therefore, to do as you suggest, with more draws, at present, would mean less in the individual prize pots we already have. There has been talk of a 'paid subscription' draw, but that would mean PMP having to get a gambling licence. Besides, the point of this site is that you can win money for free if you are patient and/or lucky. You just have to keep checking and keep yourself in with a chance. Good luck. 😊

    • Many of us have been here a lot longer than 2 years and haven't won yet. But we know it's a lottery and there's no guarantee that we will win, it's just fun checking. If you're fed up of checking there is a quit the site button at the bottom of the page, but you'd be missing out on the possibility of free money if you did leave. Only you can weigh up which is best for you - to continue checking and *maybe* win some time, or to leave and *maybe* miss some free money. I know which I'd rather do!

  • Question of the day: Have you ever done/would you ever do a ouija board?

If you have any questions that you would like us to ask, please feel free to email us at admin@pickmypostcode.com

    • Thanks, tetleyt - yes, I've come to terms with my unpleasant childhood now. It took me until both my parents had died and I was 60 before I realised it wasn't that I was as useless as they kept telling me I was, it was they who were useless as parents. It hit me like a ton of bricks when I had that realisation dawn, but that was the start of a "new" me really. I'd still love to "talk" to my late sister somehow but I know that isn't possible and won't happen. I'm an atheist so I don't believe in any religion, heaven or any kind of afterlife.

    • Nameless has reminded me that Waddingtons (?) sold them in the '60's.

    • Our class tried it as part of our RE lessons. We had a teacher who taught us about all the so called religions, cults etc and most of us came away with a good understanding that many people blindly follow others, without wanting evidence and facts.

    • Dotty purple anonymous , that’s a great analogy. 😆

    • We did it one lunch hour at school but I didn't believe it, although I know I wasn't pushing the glass, and it did seem to be moving very fast. Wouldn't dare touch it now - it's probably rubbish, but you can't believe in good spirits without believing in bad too. There has to be an opposite to everything, or you can't describe something as good, bad, up or down etc. I'll stick to being an incurious wimp, thank you.

    • Sorry to hear you had a bad time CarolineC……grief affects everybody differently.

I hope you are in a good place now! 🙏🏻

    • It's a children's toy. You might as well be superstitious about Monopoly or Buckaroo

    • I was tempted when I was younger but, in the end, didn't do it. I lost my older sister in tragic circumstances when I was 9, and that and my parents' reaction to it (they became emotionally abusive towards me until I left home at 17), shaped my early years. Then, I ended up in an abusive relationship with my partner. Fact is, I really, really wanted to talk to my late sister - to ask how it had all come about, whether my parents were bad to her too, etc, etc. I needed my older sister for advice and emotional support. So I was very tempted to give it a go, to see if I could talk to her, but in the end didn't make the first approach to a group of spiritualist I'd found out about in the new city I was living in back then. Probably just as well as I was pretty impressionable back then, with all the emotional turmoil I'd been/was going through. :-/

    • Best not to meddle!

    • Nooooooooooo....

    • Having no religious beliefs I know it's pointless.

    • Total and utter baloney.

There are no spirits, good , bad or indifferent…apart from the brandy I had yesterday to toast my friend’s birthday. 🥳

    • No I would never try it! it’s bad karma. Objects, ghosts, souls etc do not fly around the room. Ghosts or souls don’t exist but only the holy spirits. Spirits are unable to contact with human life as they have no human abilities. Same as God he’s a Holy Spirit not a person. That part is fake about things moving. Only thing it does would be release bad luck and a bad omen. As I would call it playing with evil (devil). Same rule for not to play card games on a Sunday. May not see anything happening but could be a bad omen for bad luck.

    • A few of us did that at school just tried it out as teenagers not very good I hasten to add as knew that someone was exaggerating it

    • No, but in my case because I think it's baloney.

    • No, too superstitious for that 🫣

    • I only use ouija as a starting word in Wordle (sometimes)

    • Have never done and never would. Watched too many scary films involving ouija boards in my youth!

    • 🤣 No and No 🤣 They're simply toys.
