    Coke if it's a cola product but if you just mean fizzy drinks in general then I'd say pop as a kid but it sounds too cringe now so I call them fizzy drinks or just by brand names.

    Born a Londoner, but spent some time in Manchester before returning south.

  • I grew up on Tyneside - with a Devonian mother, and have bounced around England for 50 years so perhaps my terminology may be a little mongrelised - and to me they are:

    (A) Remote (although I left Tyneside before they were in existence so goodness knows what 'pure' Geordies call them); (B) Dressing gown; (C) Bacon sandwich or Bacon bap as it's a bread bun; (D) Pop.

    • Never heard it called a splodger 😂

      In order to find out the regional dialect differences shouldn't we be adding our location? I'll start; I live in the north east but was born in the north west and have spent most of my adult life living in various parts of the UK.
