So far £315k has been won on FPL, but a more surprising figure is the £317k that has been missed. This is puzzling us. Why is so much free money going unclaimed?
One reason is that 50% of postcodes registered on FPL have become “dormant”. This means that they are still in the draws but no one is bothering to check for them. Why? Sadly reminder emails don’t always get into inboxes so it’s easy to fall out of the habit if you simply aren’t being reminded. To stop this happening to you we’ve got some tips for making sure you always get your reminder emails.
To help stop you falling into this trap we send out “Where are you?” emails if you haven’t been to the site for a few days. Of course, you may have decided you don’t want to bother checking the site anymore, in which case we actively encourage you to remove yourself. There really isn’t any benefit sending emails out to people who don’t want them 🙂
Looking at the traffic data more surprising stats emerge. Only 50% of our visitors bother checking the Survey Draw. Granted, it’s not £400 per day, but £150 is still a lot of money especially when it rolls over to above £1000 like it has a few times recently. Similarly, less than 50% of FPLers bother to check the Stackpot, despite there being 10 winning postcodes per day. The Video Draw only attracts 40% of visitors, the Bonus Draws only 35%, and the Quidco Draw just 25%.
What is perplexing us so much is; if you’re bothering to check the Main Draw why not bother to check the others whilst you’re here? We redesigned the navigation so that it guides you through each one. The “step-tracker” at the top shows you which you have checked and even what £1p bonuses you have yet to collect:
Under each of the draw results we’ve included a button guiding you to the next draw:
Failing that, there are handy links in the footer of the reminder emails:
Any ideas? We’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions. Please do leave comments below 🙂
Cheers!
