Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes! I’ve made some improvements (I hear groans..) most of which are based on user feedback, but some of which I’ve been meaning to make for ages. Firstly, the page layout is made to respond (and adapt) to different screen sizes. Most notably, when you open the page in a mobile the sections should stack so that you don’t have to squint and zoom. But also, I’ve brought back the “Recent draws” and “Bonus leaderboard” widgets and you should now see the Facebook comments at the top right on super wide desktop screens.
I’ve dropped support for Internet Explorer 7. It’s old and didn’t even work properly when it came out 6 years ago. Upgrading your browser is easy and makes the internet a much nicer place for everyone. This will help you upgrade. (Hint: Don’t choose the last one)
I’ve removed all of the external competitions for now. All too often these were redirected to less than reputable alternatives when the competition closed without letting me know. I’m on the lookout for better ones, so if anyone has any suggestions please get in touch.
Instead I’ve introduced a more traditional blog so that I can write articles like this (and wonder whether anyone reads them) and we can include content from other people and organisations. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so The Haven Breast Cancer Support Centres will be writing some articles about prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer. If you have any ideas for an article, or you’re an aspiring blogger please get in touch.
Finally, welcome to the new site, and if you’ve read this far then I am delighted and grateful. Any feedback would be well appreciated 🙂
