Blog Are we asking too much?

Are we asking too much?

by Chris | News

chrisEarlier this week, one of our FPL veterans posted a comment that suggested we may be up to something fishy on our Survey Draw. Let me clarify.

So Chris at FPL if you read these messages but the likes of the current survey draw is my point about giving information out asking about what sort of house do I live in, how many rooms and todays (Sunday 18th) when is my car insurance due!! This is how all these companies get our info and then bombard us with junk mail and telephone calls so I do think FPL needs to crack down on what kind of so called surveys they are sending out to us all and you do need to pay attention as this is where fraud and scams are made of! Please take note as this isn’t right!!

I understand the suspicions that some of these questions arouse but we’re really not up to anything shady. The house insurance (actually… not car insurance) questions are a bit of an experiment. I met with a marketing manager from a home insurance provider who said that he might be able to offer special discounts if we had the right audience. I plan to tell him how many people we have in certain postcodes, with a certain number of rooms with a certain house. Might lead to nothing, but then he might have a good offer that’s better than anything available elsewhere. If so, I will find a way to let respondents know, without sharing personally identifiable data.

So what are we up to? We’re not 100% sure yet, but please rest assured that we won’t be sharing any personal info without your explicit permission.

Cheers!

Chris
