Blog Tips Some handy tips from Dave Moore

Some handy tips from Dave Moore

by Chris | Tips

PMP wouldn’t be the same without our much celebrated, sometimes controversially sarcastic, veterans. Love him or not-love-him, Dave Moore has a way with words. These words in particular:

A FEW HANDY TIPS FOR NEWBIES AND THE UNENLIGHTENED. An essay by David Moore.

Use a reminder email to login, and before doing anything else bookmark the page. You can now login easily whenever you wish via that bookmark. Don’t rely on the reminder ‘coz your own email provider may block or delay them at times (‘coz they mistake bulk emails for spam) which is outside of PMPs control, and you’ll miss draws anyway.

There are a number of links near the foot of each page which you should take a look at. Start with ‘Rules’ and the ‘FAQ’ which explains all, such as the nine daily postcode draws, your bonus, and how to do things like set a bookmark on your mobile. As a newbie you qualify for six of the postcode draws plus the Flash draw immediately.

The prizes are funded by advertisers and your daily visits (that’s how this site is free), so please ensure you whitelist this site if you have an ad or content blocker. Pollfish surveys and bonus offers will not track correctly either unless you do.

If you’re entering a postcode (EG on ‘Winners results’), remember postcodes have a space in the middle! Also, the usual format (there are exceptions) is letter(s), number(s), space, number(s), letters. EG B60 is Bee six zero (not letter ‘oh’).

Please don’t publish your full postcode on these public Facebook forums ‘coz you’re as good as publishing your address for fraudsters et al, and linking it with everything else on your Facebook account. You may be more savvy or don’t care, but it’s irresponsible to encourage others by doing so.

Only active members are in the draws, so there’s always a winner. Some areas will come up more frequently simply because more people registered from there. BT covers all of Northern Ireland and WILL usually get drawn daily. Get used to it, so will other places (in larger numbers) like Wales, Scotland, and England.

To cover all daily postcode draws and beat the neighbours on the ‘first claim wins’ prizes, you need to check just after 9am, 6pm, and 9pm if you can. If you’re challenged or less ambitious check between 6pm and 9pm, and again between 9pm and 9am (or just before & after 9pm). The main draws are shared so can be checked at any time after midday.

Please DON’T MOAN. This is a lottery, and not everyone will win. It’s a FREE opportunity to win money, not a right. IMHO Moaners should be suspended, preferably by the short and curlies from the nearest tree.

Ahem… Thank you Mr. Moore. Your, and others’, continued support is very much appreciated.

Newbs. Please understand that the vets are voluntarily helping lots of people on a daily basis, many of whom repeatedly ask the same questions. If they sometimes come across a bit short, that’s why. In turn, can all vets please remember that some newbs need a bit of time to get settled in.

Thanks!

Chris & Team 🙂
